Kayaking in the Northwest
We offer tours to some of the best kayaking destinations in ireland. These trips are an opportunity to get out to the remote and beautiful parts of the Irish coast. All offer you a challenge.
We'll start most of the trips at 11am to facilate those who want to make a day trip of it and will finish 5-6pm.
The cost per day is €80.
Inishmurray
The special paddle in this area is Inishmurray. It’s about 4 miles off Streedagh beach and has an old monastic settlement with beehive huts and a village abandoned since the 40’s. Assuming the weather is favourable, we’ll paddle out to the island, explore nearby. If the weather is good, we'll go around the island on our way home.
You need some paddling experience to enjoy this trip.
Inishkeas
We'll visit the magnificant islands of the Inishkeas off the Mullet peninsula in Co.Mayo. Abandoned since the late 1930's, these islands used to be a major whaling centre in the early years of the 20th Century. On the Sunday, we'll visit Inishglora and Eagle Island.

Sligo Bay
In Sligo bay, you'll experience islands, lighthouse, tides of up to 6 knots and surf. Going from Rosses Point, we'll paddle Oyster and Coney Islands, the Metal Man, Blackrock lighthouse, and Raghly Point on the outside of the bay.
Lough Melvin
Would you like a nice relaxing day out? Come island touring with us on Lough Melvin. It's largely unknown except by fishermen so we generally have the place to ourselves. The lough on the Leitrim/Fermanagh border is 13km long so there are plenty of coves and islands to explore.
You don't need any paddling experience for this trip.
South Donegal
Weather permitting, we'll paddle Rathlin O'Birne Island near Rossan Point. The crossing is seldom flat and the trip includes a dramatic channel and arch near the lighthouse. If conditions are too challenging, we'll paddle Teelin to St.John's Point. For more experienced paddlers, there's the option of the stunning Slieve League cliffs and caves.

North Mayo
A stunning paddle from Broadhaven to Porturlin on the westernmost part of the North Mayo coast, this paddle includes deep caves, Kid Island, the Stags of Broadhaven and the well named Pig Island. It was near here that Peter Bray landed in 2001 after his solo transatlantic paddle from Newfoundland.
